Description

Scientific name: Petrogale xanthopus The Lowry Park Zoo is in Tampa, Florida.

Wallabies are marsupial mammals and are in the same family (Macropodidae) as kangaroos. The name "wallaby" is an informal term that is used to refer to members of this family that are smaller than kangaroos. This particular species, the Yellow-footed Rock Wallaby, lives in rocky habitats in parts of Australia.
