Summary

[edit]
Description The Yearsley House, also known as the Yearsley-Brookens House, at 508 West Main Street in Urbana, Illinois was built as a resident for Emmett G. Yearsley, a farmer and land speculator and the brother-in-law of Franklin Marriot, whose house is located next door at 506 West Main Street. Both houses are in the Queen Anne style. Like the Marriot House, the property was bought from Col. Samuel Busey, whose family had owned it since 1830. (Sources: [1] and [2])
