Description
English: This photograph may show a Vietnamese woman (left) and two women from the Yao Tien people. It is a subgroup of the Yao people, settled mainly in northeastern Vietnam. Their costume was adorned with coins (visible here on the woman's chest on the far right), which earned them the nickname "Yao à sapèques". The Yao Tien were about eight thousand at the beginning of the twentieth century.
