[edit]DescriptionYankton High School HD from SE 1.JPG |
English: Former Yankton High School buildings, located in the 600 block of Walnut Street in Yankton, South Dakota; seen from the southeast. In the foreground is the onetime high school auditorium. The Art Deco building was constructed in 1927. In the right background is the former high school building, designed in Prairie School style and built in 1916. These buildings and two others, out of sight to the north behind the buildings in the photo, make up the Yankton High School Historic District, which is listed in the National Register of Historic Places. It now houses Walnut Village Assisted Living and Senior Apartments. |
