English: According to the Rubin Museum of Art website [1], this is a 19th century Mongolian painting (pigments on cloth), depicting the protector deity (dharmapala) Yama and his retinue as a symbolic protector of the Gelug tradition, with Tsongkhapa at top and two disciples. Rubin Museum of Art: C2003.50.10.
