Yakovlev Yak-3Ua and Lydia Litvyak figure in Russian winter display at Omaka Aviation Heritage Centre's "Dangerous Skies" exhibition. This airplane was one of the first built at the recommissioned production line in Orenburg, Russia in the 1990s. It was rebuilt at Omaka after being damaged at the Reno Air Races and the fully airworthy airplane now includes a second seat.[1] The display also contains information panels on fighter pilot Lydia Litvyak, who flew Yak aircraft in the Soviet Air Force during World War II. |
