Español: La isla de Yacyreta fue inundada con motivo de la creación de la Represa Paraguaya-Argentina del mismo nombre. En ese lugar existían unas dunas, que ahora están semi-inundadas. Son de una belleza admirable, pero necesitan ser conservadas. Con la Represa de Itaupú en el alto Paraná y esta, se cierra por ambos lados el Río Paraná. Más encima se prevee otra represa en el intermedio de ambas. Los guaraniés llamarían a esto ""-ysyry juvy" (el río estrangulado).
Ver fotos antiguas del lugar English: Yacyreta Island was flooded because of the creation of the Paraguay-Argentina dam of the same name. In that place there were dunes that are now semi-flooded. They are of admirable beauty, but need to be preserved. With the dam in the upper Paraná Itaupú and this is closed on both sides of the Rio Parana. More over another dam is foreseen in the middle of both. The Guarani call this "," ysyry Juvy "(the river strangled). |
