Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Y Ddol's uphauling incline as seen from the mouth of the 'lefal' Rock from the pit was initially split at the working area near the mouth of the 'lefal' or tunnel. Later, with the building of a slate sawing mill at the top level of the quarry an internal incline was constructed to uphaul the slate to the mill. This photo shows the construct of both the incline and the wall that protected it from rubble falling from the rubbish run above.
