Summary

[edit]
Description
English: To the north of the theatre there is a rather empty area, the former Roman agora. On some pictures one can see the theatre in the distance and the two tombs nearby. On others a lone pillar is in view, it is the “inscribed pillar”, that has a category of its own as the Xanthian Obelisk. It’s not an obelisk, but what remains of a tomb like the others. It has the longest known Lycian inscription on its side.
