English: XM730 CHAPARRAL Carrier. This carrier provides a diesel powered, lightweight, unarmored vehicle to mount the XM48 CHAPARRAL missile system. The XM730 is a modified M548 cargo carrier, possessing the basic characteristics of the Armored Personnel Carrier family of vehicles, capable of speed on land up to 40 MPH and 3.5 MPH in water. The vehicle has a cruising range of 300 miles. |
