Description
Deutsch: Vom Fahrweg Lauterbrunnen–Wengen Richtung Süden, das Gleis rechts ist die alte WAB-Strecke Lauterbrunnen–Wengen von 1893, die kürzer und steiler als die 1910 eröffnete Umgehungsstrecke ist. Sie bot bessere Aussicht für die Fahrgäste als die neue Strecke mit deutlich höherem Tunnelanteil, war jedoch nicht wintersicher, wurde nur noch für den Güterverkehr sowie Leer- und Sonderzüge genutzt und insbesondere wegen eines instabilen Rutschhanges 2007 stillgelegt und 2009 abgebaut.
