The point of overlap is markedand the distinctive marks are transferred in exactly thesame manner (Fig. 23) as described for Vergelys card,and in a like manner the paper chart is made. The fur-ther procedure is described by Flint as follows: The profondometer is thereupon removed from thepaper and the corresponding points are converted intoreal diagonals by a ruler, so that we have the exactposition of the projectile indicated at the point wherethe lines intersect.
