ARMY The reader is advised to acquaint himself with thestructural and regional anatomy of the teeth and max-illae; and also to study some recognized authority on thepathology of these structures. The accompanying illus-trations show practically all of the types of pathologicallesions about which we are herein concerned, exceptinjuries. Pigs. 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11 and 12. It is difficult to anticipate the sort of injuries one hasto deal with in military surgery, and therefore dif-ficult to give definite instruction in the part taken by theradiologist. The following illustrations serve to showthe proper adjustments for the different parts of thejaw bones, and they may be taken as guides in mostinstances. The object is to have the central rays pass insuch a direction that the shadows of the teeth on thenear side of the face will not fall in the area that is tobe examined. Figs. 13, 14, 15 and 16.
