The ring is then passedbeneath the patient and so manipulated that the shadowof the ring surrounds that of the foreign body. Thispoint is marked and the ring is removed. Without mov-ing tube or patient the same procedure is undertakenwith the ring over the body and again the point ismarked. The patient is now turned and, with tube anddiaphragm in the same position a second pair of marksis secured. Three or even four pairs tend to still greateraccuracy.
