Description
Nederlands: Nederlanders betalen 6% van de totale zorgkosten zelf, in andere rijke landen is dat 20%. Nederland heeft al jaren het beste zorgstelsel stelt Wynand van de Ven, hoogleraar sociale ziektekostenverzekering iBMG-EUR, in zijn afscheidsrede op vrijdag 2 oktober.

In Ierland heeft 50% van de bevolking een extra particuliere zorgverzekering om lange wachtlijsten te vermijden en betere kwaliteit van zorg te ontvangen, in Australië 40%. In Nederland is het verboden om "voorkruipzorg" te kopen, ons zorgstelsel kent een hoge mate van solidariteit.

Er zijn zwakheden in ons zorgstelsel maar laten we niet de problemen verheerlijken.
