Deutsch: Handdrehmühle
Fluchtgepäck: Eine Bäuerliche Handdrehmühle mit Familiengeschichte (Siebenbürgen/Ostpreußen/Bayern, 17. Jahrhundert oder früher) Die meisten Menschen lebten während der Frühen Neuzeit als Bauern auf dem Land. Bauernarbeit war schwere Handarbeit. Frondienste für und Abgaben an den lokalen Adel, Armut, Missernten und Hunger, Krankheiten, Seuchen und Kriege belasteten ihr Leben. Vom frühen Mittelalter bis weit ins 19. Jahrhundert hinein hatte sich das Leben der Bauern nur wenig verändert. Ein Anschauungsobjekt bäuerlicher Lebensweise ist diese Handdrehmühle. Im Jahre 1700 flüchtete die protestantische Familie Fischer aus Siebenbürgen nach Preußen und wurde in der Nähe von Memel angesiedelt. Auf ihrer mehr als 1300 Kilometer langen Flucht nahmen sie ihren beweglichen Hausrat mit, darunter die Handmühle. Mit solchen Handmühlen konnten die Bauern ihr Mehl für den Eigenverbrauch selbst herstellen und auch das Futter für ihre Tiere selbst schroten. In der Mühle mussten sie nicht nur bezahlen, die Müller haben vom angelieferten Getreide zumeist auch gleich die Naturalabgaben für die Gutsherren bemessen und einbehalten. Handmühlen boten die Möglichkeit, einen Teil der drückenden Abgabenlast zu umgehen. Deshalb der Besitz solcher Handmühlen immer wieder bei Strafe verboten worden. Familie Fischer behielt die Handmühle jedoch und nahm sie ein Vierteljahrtausend später selbst bei ihrer neuerlichen Flucht aus Ostpreußen 1944 auf ihre mehr als 1000 Kilometer lange Reise nach Bayern mit. Im Jahre 2014 wurde die Mühle dem Brandenburg-Preußen Museum übereignet. |
