Saturday, September 9, 1911: Ashtabula, Ohio - C. A. Elton flew from fairground field out over breakwater in harbor. The distance was three miles and he was in the air 22-1/2 minutes. (Aero Magazine, October 7, 1911)

Albert Elton (1888–1975). Born August 9, 1888 in Youngstown, Ohio. He soloed on November 9, 1911* at Kinlock Field in St. Louis, Missouri in a Wright Model B. He was Fédération Aéronautique Internationale license number 75. He died on June 20, 1975 in Columbiana, Ohio. [Wikipedia]

  • Mr. Elton is listed as an exhibition aviator in the October 21, 1911 edition of Aero Magazine. He organized the Elton Aviation Company, Youngstown Ohio, and October 1914. He received his license October 8, 1911.
