English: Croes Newydd Locomotive Depot, Wrexham. View into the Depot in its last days - it closed on 5/6/67. Providing motive-power for the many branches, collieries and industrial sidings in the Wrexham area, this ex-GW Depot had many 0-6-0Ts, including the standard '8750' class No. 3709 (built 10/36) featured. Few engines were left by 1966, but in 1954 the allocation of BR/WR 84J had been 46:- 1 4-6-0, 1 4-4-0, 4 2-8-0, 8 2-6-0, 5 0-6-2T, 22 0-6-0T and 5 0-4-2T. |
