English: On October 21, 2009, a Sudan Airways Boeing 707 crashed shortly after takeoff from Sharjah, United Arab Emirates. All six crewmembers were fatally injured. The NTSB appointed an accredited representative and sent a powerplants specialist to assist the United Arab Emirates General Civil Aviation Authority with its investigation. Technical advisors from the FAA, Boeing, and Pratt & Whitney also assisted. |
