Summary

[edit]
Description

The church was built in 1839 by W. A. Nicholson as a "commissioners church" on a new site a quarter of a mile from the old church, which was declared redundant in 1980 and demolished. It is built in yellow brick and ashlar with slate roofs.

There is a west tower, aisleless nave with south porch and west gallery, and a small chancel.

The tower has tall Lancet windows, plain pinnacles, and has six bells.

There is a tall, narrow chancel arch into a very short chancel with a triple lancet east window. The east wall of the nave has been painted blue, the rest of the nave is whitewashed. There is a recovered Norman pillar piscina in the chancel. The rest of the fittings are 19th and 20th centuries.

There is a small single manual organ on the Gallery with eleven stops.
