English: Gunnery Sgt. Ralph Dequebec from Wounded Warrior Detachment Walter Reed practices wheelchair racing sprints at the Wounded Warrior Regiment track and field training camp in Portland, Oregon. The camp is a part of the Wounded Warrior Regiment's Warrior Athlete Reconditioning Program (WAR-P), which provides opportunities for Marines to engage in both physical and cognitive activities outside the traditional therapy setting. Training sessions include practical application through short and long distance running, throwing, swimming, and conditioning which builds endurance and develops the skills they learn. |
