| Description |
English: Worthy Down halt The remains of the halt built in 1917 to serve the adjacent RAF station. The picture is looking south. The halt was built with a conventional pair of platforms. These are the remains of what was originally the up, northbound, platform. Later a passing loop was built to the right, west, and this became an island platform with this being the new down, southbound, side. The station closed in 1962 or 1963 and the railway closure followed soon afterwards. |
