This image has been created during "DensityDesign Integrated Course Final Synthesis Studio" at Politecnico di Milano, organized by DensityDesign Research Lab in 2024.

Summary

Description

The visualization provides an overview of the 65 countries around the world that consumed the most coffee in 2023. For each country, it displays yearly total coffee consumption in kilograms in the upper part of the graph, daily per capita consumption in cups by the vertical lines, and the price per cup in dollars with the circles and how it distances from the average. Colors are used to categorize the countries by continent.

Source: the report A Life of Coffee from Cafely. This report is based on data collected by the International Coffee Organization (ICO) and demographic information of each country from Wikipedia.
