Description
English: World War II quadrant tower. The Solway between Glasson and Burgh by Sands was used as a firing range, by No.9 Operational Training Unit based at RAF Crosby-on-Eden (now Carlisle Airport 74464 ). The bomb drops would be observed from here, and also from Burgh 858406. Information for this description was found on the excellent website of Russell W.
