Summary

[edit]
Description
English: The World Center for Peace and Unity unites the simplicity of seventh century architecture with the minimalism of modern style. Its clean lines and simple, unadorned surfaces create an aura of calm and a place of peace. its form echos a traditional stupa, with a dome-shaped meditation hall inside. The design was inspired by Sariputta's stupa at Nalanda University, India. Combining a functional space for teaching and practicing with the sacred space of a stupa.
