Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Working boat at Minworth Top Lock, Birmingham Traditional working Narrowboat "Pearl Barley" has left Minworth Top Lock open for us to enter - what a gentleman! Note: Boat owners mooring near Tyburn Bridge for the night may like to visit the nearby Tyburn House pub. There, despite what it says in the Nicholson's guide to the Waterways, they can enjoy a (very) limited selection of real ales, probably ending up with a refreshing pint of Banks's Bitter served at the same temperature as Carling Extra Cold. It's enough to drive one to Guinness! (Try ordering three pints of bitter when you arrive, and have a meal while you're waiting for them to warm up).
