| Description |
English: Woodhorn Colliery Very similar to my later (1994) picture but with lovely autumnal colour and a better view of the brick block to the right. This block contains a steam winch in a first floor room that can only be accessed by vertical ladder and is never shown to ordinary visitors. When I took this the site was not open as it was in the process of conversion to a museum. It is now an excellent example of a preserved colliery. |
