Summary
[edit]DescriptionWoodhams Yard Barry (geograph 2770327).jpg |
English: Woodhams Yard Barry This was one of the last locomotives to leave Barry. The building in the background supplied hydraulic power to docks. It still stands today. The pile of rubbish in the right foreground of the photo is asbestos lagging from the locomotives. It was scattered over much of the scrap yard and you entered the yard at your own risk. The photo was taken in about 1982. There is a photo of the inside of the workshops at ST1167 : Workshop, Woodham's Yard c1982. There is a photo of the site in 2013 at ST1167 : Woodham's Yard, Barry. |
