Summary

[edit]
Description Women were depicted headless in the Gobustan petroglyphs. In the museum earlier, we had seen a few headless female figures with huge boobs and butts. Here is one outside in the petroglyphs area. I was wondering why they show women headless. Coming to think of it, the illustration probably depicts the female form, an angular profile of a female. And in the light of this, maybe they are not headless, but they have covered heads. Who knows? As Islam did not come in until much, much later. (Gobustan, Azerbaijan, Sept. 2017)
