English: Dorothy Peterson began her career in 1918 at the Western Union Telegraph Company branch office at 81 Madison Street. She saved this photograph along with many others in a scrapbook documenting the social and work activities of her fellow employees. The three women on the right wear uniforms, which may indicate they worked outside of the office. Names writen in ink below the photograph: Mrs. Wallace, Isabelle Hunsinger, Eva Cartright, Anna McNaught, Stella Brandt, Martha Weeks.
