English: This is an environmental portrait of a woman, possibly aged between forty-five and sixty years of age. She is wearing a floral patterned dress, and heels, that appear to have a woven texture. She is seated on a chair with a dark-coloured, possibly black, cocker spaniel. The settings displays affluence. There is a book shelf, filled with books, along the wall. The is a fireplace in between the bookshelves. There is a large mirror, with an ornate frame, hanging above the mantelpiece. There are many objects along the top of the bookshelves and mantelpiece. There are many framed pictures hanging on the walls. There is a woven basket partially visible to the left of the foreground of the image. There is a table, with papers placed upon it, partially visible in the right foreground of the image.
