Nederlands: Wolseley (GB) - Tasche/Wolseley Palace, Amsterdam
De firma Tasche en Co. was het eerste bedrijf dat formeel aangesteld het Wolseley-importeurschap rond 1908 in Nederland waarnam. Als de Darracq-importeur Aertnijs naar Amsterdam verhuist neemt H.A. Tasche het agentschap van Darracq op zich. Vanwege deze uitbreiding van zaken verhuist men juli 1906 naar een nieuw gebouwd pand dat speciaal als garage was ingericht. In 1907 worden er compagnons aangetrokken en wordt de zaak uitgebreid en via de achterzijde in een L-vorm doorverbonden naar panden aan de Van den Brugghenstraat 6-8. Onder de naam Tasche en Co. wordt begonnen met het hoofdagentschap van Ariès- en Mors-automobielen, snel gevolgd door de merken Belgica, Stoewer, Wolseley en Schneider. Medio 1916 verhuist Tasche naar Amsterdam, om zich eerst op de Stadhouderskade 100-101 als garage Wolseley Palace te vestigen. Als de zaken uitgebreid worden met o.a. de verkoop van vliegtuigonderdelen verhuist men naar de huisnummers 142-143. Vanaf maart 1920 wordt de import van Wolseley gedeeld met de Nederlandsche Technische Handelsvereeniging De Boer & Greve te Den Haag advertentie 1912 |
