Description

Wolperode – Dorfkirche – Foto 2019
- Die Dorfkirche wurde Anfang des 15. Jahrhundert von einem „Gerhard von Rauschenplat“ aus Bruchkalkstein erbaut.
- Der Turm erreicht eine Gesamthöhe von 14,54 m. Sein massiver Unterbau trägt ein Obergeschoss in Fachwerkbauweise. Dort befinden sich die 400kg schwere Glocke und das Uhrwerk der Turmuhr.
- Die Wetterfahne auf dem Turmdach trägt die Jahreszahl 1759. Das Turmfenster auf der Nordseite ist beschriftet mit der Jahreszahl 1688, ein Fenster an der Nordwand des Langhauses zeigt die Jahreszahl 1666.
- Eine Außentreppe an der Nordseite führt zur Emporentür.

Der flach gedeckte Kirchensaal ist 14,5 m lang und 8,6 m breit und weist eine zusammenhängende Empore auf.
