Description
English: Withernsea Pier towers, Withernsea, East Riding of Yorkshire, England.
The towers mark the entrance to Withernsea's ill-fated pier. Built in the 1870s, the pier originally extended nearly 1200 feet. Successive collisions from ships destroyed it, the last surviving sections being removed in the 1930s.
