English: The former mortuary and home of the the mortuary keeper in the municipal cemetery of Wismar, Landkreis Nordwestmecklenburg, Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, Germany. Built in 1832/1833 in the early classical style, this mortuary is a unique characteristic of the cemetery of Wismar and a listed cultural heritage monument.
Deutsch: Das frühere Leichenwärter-/Verwalterwohnhaus auf dem städtischen Friedhof von Wismar, Landkreis Nordwestmecklenburg, Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, Deutschland. Das 1832/1833 im frühklassizistischen Stil errichtete Gebäude ist für die Sepulkralgeschichte Norddeutschlands ein wegweisendes und bedeutendes Beispiel. Es stellt für den Wismarer Friedhof ein Alleinstellungsmerkmal dar und steht unter Denkmalschutz. Zum Zeitpunkt der Aufnahme war es ungenutzt und zeigte sich deutlich sanierungsbedürftig. |
