We shall see also a steady stream ofpeople who should know better sweptinto the lowest depths, owing to a de-fective nervous organism. No more pit-iable sight is ever seen than that of agently reared girl as she comes tumbling

It is here we have barbaric splendor side by side with squalid poverty.
