Description

Cold weather and small snowfall causes extra steam emissions from the Mickey Hot Springs, on the northern edge of the Alvord Desert, Jan. 17, 2020.

The dangerously hot springs can be dried up or hissing with steam and pressure from the geologic fault that created nearby Steens Mountain.
