Author Willy Stahl (* 1882; † 1937). Er machte das Abitur am Heilbronner Karlsgymnasium. Zuerst studierte er bei Theodor Fischer Architektur (Regierungsbauführer), später widmete er sich dem Malereistudium in Karlsruhe und München. Er war als Maler und Radierer tätig. Nachdem er geheiratet hatte erwarb er im Jahre 1922 einen Bauernhof in Westernbach bei Öhringen. (Stadtarchiv Heilbronn, Datenbank Heuss, Archivsignatur ZS-11323) Er war ein „getreuer Bildner der heimatlichen Landschaften und Menschen“. (Baden-Württemberg, Baden-Württembergische Verlagsanstalt, 1964, Seite 37 [1]) Seine Motive waren die Bauernwelt von Berwand, der Mainhardter Wald und das Sulmtal. Er gehörte auch dem Heilbronner Kunstverein an (Die Kunst und das schöne Heim, Band 63, F. Bruckmann, 1964, Seite 44).
