Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Watercolor and bodycolor on paper, with scratching out

15 X 10 in., 38.10 X 25.40 cm. Signed, l.r., W. HUNT

This watercolor was long identified as the work exhibited by William Henry Hunt at the 1841 Spring Exhibition of the Society of Painters in Water-colours under the title, "A Boy with Ballads." That painting is actually the one now at the Aberdeen Art Gallery. This watercolor was instead exhibited at the 1840 Spring Exhibition as "A Long Song."
