Summary

[edit]
Description
English: In 1902, William H. Henderson of San Francisco (here erroneously labeled "Willian H. Henderson) was complicit in the murder of a police officer. He testified against five other men, who were all convicted, with four being sentenced to life imprisonment and one being sentenced to death; meanwhile, Henderson was given a two-year sentence. However, convicts within the state prison system threatened to kill Henderson in retribution, and he similarly faced danger from criminals who remained at large. As of August 1, 1904, Henderson remained in the San Francisco County Jail.
