Description
English: Hastings - Walsall express entering Willesden Junction.
View SE from Willesden Junction main Down platform, towards the West London line to Kensington and Clapham Junction. The 10.45 Summer Saturday express from Hastings will have come via Brighton (reverse) and Clapham Junction: the SR locomotive will be changed here for a LMR one to proceed down the ex-LNW main line via Birmingham to Walsall. This day the SR locomotive from Brighton is BR rebuilt Bullied Light Pacific No. 34101 'Hartland' (built 2/50, rebuilt 9/60, withdrawn 9/66), which was preserved and is now working on the North Yorkshire Moors Railway.
