Josiah Willard Gibbs (11 February 1839 - 28 April 1903), an American physical chemist. This file was taken from w:en:Image:Willard Gibbs.jpg, which was given by w:en:User:Reddi at the time of 06:43, 29 Aug 2004. The image seems a copy of the widely circulated portrait of the physical chemist. In the English Wikipedia, the image is described as "19th century photograph. public domain" with the copyright tag {{PD-old}} (the English Wikipedia version), which calls a statement that this image is in the public domain because its copyright has expired in the United States and those countries with a copyright term of life of the author plus 100 years. |
