Description
English: State visit to Jerusalem of Wilhelm II of Germany in 1898. Emperor and Empress. Their tents stood on a site which had been bought for the purpose of their stay and was later handed over to the Evangelical State Church in Prussia, which built there the Provostry (Propstei), office and domicile of the Provost of Jerusalem (Propst von Jerusalem), heading the Jerusalem's Evangelical Congregation of German tongue and representing in Jerusalem Prussia's State Church.
