[edit]DescriptionWildflower Guide St Mary's Church Tetbury. - geograph.org.uk - 1526155.jpg |
English: Wildflower Guide St Mary's Church Tetbury. Over 300 English bluebell bulbs and many hundreds of snowdrops together with cyclamen have been planted under the trees to form carpets of flowers in the late winter months.
Small pockets of perennial wildflowers, specially chosen for their flowering times and their attractiveness to butterflies and bees, have been planted in strategic places amongst the gravestones. The plants include Red Campion, Common Toadflax, Musk Mallow, Field Scabious, Meadow Cranesbill, Birds Foot Trefoil, Ox Eye Daisy, Self Heal & Knapweed. These join the many other wildflowers ;Common Primrose, Celandine, Viola, Forget Me Not, Ivy leafed Toadflax, Cow Parsley, White Dead Nettle to name but a few, that can be found amongst the area of grass that have been purposely left long to allow them to reach their full potential. |
