Description
English: This photo shows the deteriorated state of the Wil-Cox Bridge. Built in 1922, it has many places where the rebar is exposed and rusting, which is why NCDOT closed it to traffic in 2010. This support column is located on the Davidson County side of the river. Repair work currently under way includes structural improvements, and the removal and replacement of old concrete to ensure the bridge can safely carry traffic.
