Summary

[edit]
Description
English: A contract worker uses a small, hand-held air saw to chip away deteriorating concrete from the 89-year-old Wil-Cox bridge while preserving its historic architecture. After all the old concrete is removed, crews will begin replacing it with new concrete. They use movable platforms like the yellow one in the photo to reach parts of the bridge above uneven ground or over the Yadkin River. The repair work is part of phase one of the I-85 Corridor Improvement Project in Davidson and Rowan counties.
