Summary

[edit]
Description An Austrian Railways (OBB) class 2016 diesel locomotive stands at Vienna's main station (Wien Hauptbahnhof) with the 1838 service from Bratislava on 6th August. The loco - which reminded me of the UK class 67 in its appearance, was so quiet that I initially thought it was an electric loco. The train has crossed the border between Slovakia and Austria roughly mid way through its hour long journey. Behind the loco is a single Slovakian Railways carriage, with the rest of the train formed of OBB stock.
