English: Widecombe-in-the-Moor: Church of St Pancras Known as the Cathedral of the Moor because of its size, the Church dates from the 14th century with later additions over the next two centuries.
On 21 October 1638, whilst a service was taking place, the Church was struck by lightning during a severe thunderstorm and one of the pinnacles fell through the roof. Four people were killed and about sixty injured.
