English: Wide lock at Stourport Basin, Worcestershire This lock for boats with a beam of up to sixteen feet allows boats passage from the lower to the upper basin. Narrowboats with a beam of seven feet can use this lock but usually prefer a separate narrow lock a few yards to the east,then continue along the Staffordshire and Worcestershire Canal into the Midlands and further links to the north-west (Shropshire Union Canal or Trent and Mersey Canal). |
