Chrysanthemum "PROVIDENCE" (Novelty). Exhibited at Boston, Nov. 16, 1901—scored 87 points. Color light nankeen, about the same as a Safrano Rose. Japanese incurved, with strong, heavy stems, 4 feet long, stiff neck. YTery broad petals, and flowers from midseason until late. Price, 2V2 inch pots, 35c. each; $3.50 per doz.; $25.00 per 100. It is one of the largest-sized flowers of its type, ™*of clear yellow color, very full, not showing any center, and carries fine foliage well up under the blooms. One of the most distinct of all the dark col- ored kinds; brilliant crimson, shaded scarlet, with flowers of a rich velvety texture.
